A company co-developing fully automatic Open-S work tool adapters for tampers
Sandvik and Steelwrist have signed a cooperation agreement to provide fully automatic work tool adapters for Rammer hydraulic hammers.
With the rapid increase in global demand for fully automatic coupler systems, Sandvik will begin to provide Steelwrist SQ adapter boards directly from the factory in the third quarter of 2021.
The goal of the cooperation between the two companies is to increase end-user productivity and reduce downtime, because the interface between the circuit breaker and the adapter board can be optimized for performance and compatibility.
Jari Paajanen, product line manager of Sandvik rock processing solutions, said: "Tampers are known for their reliability, so we also want to ensure the best performance when using fully automatic quick couplings."
'For this reason, we want to provide an SQ system adapter kit designed to perfectly fit our hammers. Together with Steelwrist, we will ensure that the use of Rammer hammers is more effective.
The Steelwrist SQ automatic connection system provides customers with higher safety, and can change hydraulic power working tools in a few seconds without leaving the cab. Sandvik's delivery will comply with the global Open-S industry standard for fully automatic couplers.
